Guess who is coming for dinner?!

Top ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted by Broke and the Bookish

This week -- Top ten authors you would invite to your thanksgiving feast.

1. Kiersten White (Paranormalcy) - She is so darn cute and sassy. Instead of asking her to bring scalloped potatoes, I would want her to bring her pink taser.
2. J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) - My first question for J.K. "Now that I have invited you to my t-day, tell me the truth. Are wizards real?"
3. Rachel Hawkins ((Hex Hall) - She is hilarious. I don't know this personally, but I think I've made a logical assumption.
4. Stephanie Perkins (Anna and the French Kiss) - Is St. Clair in town? He is? Great. He can come too.
5. Veronica Roth (Divergent) - I am convinced we should be best friends. Maybe a thanksgiving invite could help us cross that bridge.
6. F. Scott Fitzgerald (The Great Gatsby) - Tell me all about the twenties.
7. Maggie Stiefvater (Shiver, The Scorpio Races) - Teach me how to write as beautifully as you.
8. Lauren Oliver (Delirium) - I am convinced she is amazingly cool.
9. Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games) - May the odds be ever in our favor.
10. Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices) - Cassie, hey, bring the sweet potatoes. And by sweet potatoes I mean Jace. Thank you.

Wow. Seriously authors. These are open invites. I will be in Oklahoma. You are more than welcome to come feast at my table. And if your name didn't make this list, it isn't because I don't want you. You just didn't make the top ten.

  2. If I had room for more authors at the table I would totally love to have almost every author on your list at mine! Rachel Hawkins is hilarious! And I totally agree that Lauren Oliver just has to be super cool.

    Awesome list!

  3. So basically it's an open invitation to every writer?! But I kind of agree; there are so many amazing ones and I they can't all be the best. I'm afraid JK Rowling is coming to mine, but I'll let you have Veronica Roth and Suzanne Collins (he lies).

  4. I think I need to read Divergent sometime in the near future. I keep telling myself I'll read it next, but I never get to it...

And I'm pretty sure the first thing I'd ask Suzanne Collins is if she has extra tickets to the upcoming movie premier for The Hunger Games.

Thanks for visiting my top ten.
