Follow Friday (3)

Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by two blogs, Alison of Alison Can Read and Rachel of Parajunkee.
It is a weekly meme created to influence community among blogs -- the concept -- I follow you and you follow me. Win, win!

How it works:
-Visit these two great blogs!
-Leave your name on the post.
-Create a post on your own blog that links back to the post (just grab the FF button) visit as many blogs as you can and tell them hello! In their comments.
-Be sure to follow them and if someone follows you follow back!!!!

This week's question:
Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

Answer:
There are two things I look for in a book. A good love story that underlies the main plot and swoon worthy men. Strong and silent. Snarky and BA. If a book manages a great male character with a wounded past -- I just know it is the book for me!
Examples:
Jace from TMI by Cassie Clare,
Sean Kendrick from The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater,
Archer Cross from Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

And...
So many more.

  5. I love a book with a paranormal element. I just cannot get enough of those. It lets me escape reality.

  13. I also love a great love story! But it has to feel real, not one where they fall in love in 5 seconds.

  14. A book doesn't have to have a love story in it for me to like it - but it helps! I don't like insta-love, and I usually prefer male characters to be a bit damaged and fragile, but still strong underneath. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm following back.

    Happy reading!
