TOP TEN TUESDAY | BEST ROMANCES

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

This week's TOP TEN:

Top Ten Best Romances

1. Delirium by Lauren Oliver - Lena and Alex
Nothing more romantic than a story about a society that forbids love and the two people who are willing to break the law just to be together.
2. Fault in Our Stars by John Green - Gus and Hazel
When Hazel meets Augustus Waters, her life as a teen living with cancer becomes a life as a teen living despite her cancer.
3. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater - Puck and Sean
This book is a multilayered romance. The love between two people and the passion they have for life and the island they live on.
4. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith - Oliver and Hadley
This romance is so great because though it is Instalove it is also so believable.
5. Pretties by Scott Westerfeld - Tally and Zane
Tally and Zane first fall for each other by trying to break rules. Then their romance grows deeper.
6. If I Stay/Where She Went by Gayle Forman - Mia and Adam
The power of young love. An unlikely pairing, a devastating death and three years later...
7. The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - Rose and Dimitry
Rose and Dimitry's love is a roller coaster ride.
8. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - Anna and St. Claire
I love how slow moving this romance is. Once it comes to fruition, it is just undeniably real.
9. Matched by Ally Condie - Ky and Cassia
Society matched Cassia with someone else. But she is falling for the other boy, the one society tells her she can't be with...
10. The Mortal Instruments by Cassie Clare - Clary and Jace
Clary and Jace. Jace and Clary. Their love destroys me.

What are your top ten favorite book romances?!?

  8. Great list! We share a few. I have to say though, I have never been a fan of Cassia with Ky...

  9. Great list! However, I'd have to go with Xander instead of Ky, not romance wise of course... but in general. Reached made me love Xander that much harder!

  10. I have Clary and Jace on my list too, and that's only from one book - can't wait to read more. :-) Quite a few on your list that I haven't read, will have to check them out! :-)

  11. Oh, Rose and Dimitri were so, so close to making my list as well! I thought about Delirium but the whole Lena/ Alex/ Julian love triangle prevented it--temporarily;)

    Great list, Nikki!

  12. Great list! Anna/Etienne, Oliver/Hadley, Dimitri/Rose and Jace/Clary KILL ME. Gus/Hazel *sniffles*, Ky/Cassia and Puck/Sean were great too :) I'm on Team Julian for Delirium though! But still, Lena/Alex are a nice couple… *grumbles* I didn't love If I Stay as much as I thought I would (overhyped? too-large expectations?) so I'm not completely on the Mia/Adam bandwagon haha. Thanks for stopping by :)

  14. I have read 3.3 books on this list! (I'm combining the pages I read of Anna and the French Kiss and the Scorpio Races to equal 0.3)

I didn't see the Statistical Probability of Love in a Coffee Shop on this list...?
