Unplugging

Tomorrow, I am going to leave here...

And arrive here...

Cabo

The last time I went on a tropical vacation, I was in the first grade and Nancy Kerrigan was a winter olympian. So I'm pretty excited. Warm air, sandy beaches, palm trees, and all inclusive refreshments. Seriously, it is going to be amazing! (Thanks to Roommate Cousin for the push.)

The best part is that it will just force me to unplug. I'm not a workaholic, but I am an addict. I'm addicted to netflix, instagram, and the constant need to have my phone right next to me. These few days away will be a much needed push to forget about the technological vices that rule my life.

It is perfect timing, too. With the lenten season upon us, it is the time of year where we give up things. Some people take these forty days as a chance to go gluten free or stop eating candy. Or to fast on that Sabbath. For me, I need to give up netflix. And leaving for a few days will be a good way to kick the habit. It will be a great way to make me read again! An even better way to make my own stories begin to come alive again.

I'll also be refraining from checking in on @ernest_hedgingway. Not during the whole of Lent but while I'm in Cabo.

To warmth and relaxation.

I'll see you on the other side!
